Parents surprise neighbours with gift and note from their ‘cranky’ newborn baby

A couple surprised their neighbours with a sweet gift on behalf of their newborn baby.

The neighbour received a note from a couple next door at her Sydney apartment after they welcomed their newborn, known as ‘Peanut’.

The parents warned the neighbour that they might hear crying in an apologetic letter from the “cranky” newborn.

“Dear neighbour… I am six weeks old. I live with my mum and dad who call me Peanut. I’m a very happy baby and love to play, but I get very cranky very fast when I’m hungry (after all who doesn’t?),” the note read.

“Please have some chocolate on me, I’m really sorry if I wake you up at night – see you around. Yours sincerely,” reports The Sun.

The family also gifted the woman earplugs and chocolates too.

The neighbour was so touched by the gesture she wanted to ‘reciprocate’, but she had no idea what to buy the family.

Captioning her post, she wrote: “The baby is an angel and we have barely heard anything.”

Her post quickly racked up dozens of likes on Facebook, with numerous comments from people who suggested how she could repay her neighbours.

One person said: “This is the cutest. Maybe get them some flowers for mum and dad to say ‘congrats.'”

Another added: “I would give them a ‘Thank You’ note, congratulate them and give my number to reach out if they need assistance.”

Whilst a third suggested she make them a homemade meal.
